The British Game Alliance is delighted to announce that there are now 300 members signed up to the ‘British Game’ Assurance Scheme. In the last few weeks there has been an influx of new shoots, processors and stockists registering to be part of the British Game Alliance, as the momentum continues. This is excellent news for those who want game produced according to the BGA’s shoot standards. It is ethical, sustainable, and traceable, making it attractive to all involved.
Andrew Rettie, Balruddie Estate, “As a BGA member I applaud the scheme for the relatively straight forward process, firstly the ease of becoming a member and secondly seeking accreditation from Acoura. I very much hope that shoots of all sizes throughout the country embrace this very worthwhile membership.”
Acoura has carried out 2o audits so far with auditors trained by the GWCT with very positive results. The Record Books that were sent out along with the Welcome Pack in the last few weeks will assist all shoots who sign up so they can keep all their shoot paperwork in one location.
“Great news that 300 members have shown their support – it is now imperative that other shoots and shooters join up and ensure that the BGA gets the necessary backing in its efforts to give shooting a sustainable future!” George Stephenson, Hurdcott Estate
Tom Adams, BGA’s Managing Director said, “It’s brilliant to see the continued momentum to ramp up with shoots of all sizes joining the BGA, striving to pave the way forward for the sport we love”.
